Adjusting the Lap Band

A lap band adjustment can easily be done in a matter of minutes in a doctor's office weeks and months following the initial surgery.

Injecting saline into the port inflates the Lap Band, making the route to the lower portion of the stomach smaller, which further limits the amount of food that can be consumed. Fluid can easily be removed in the doctor's office if the patient is discovering it too tight a fit.
